Here’s the Official T20 World Cup Schedule

International Cricket Council has announced the schedule for the 2021 T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Oman and UAE. The first phase of the tournament which includes eight qualifier teams will be held in Oman, while the tournament will be shifted to UAE for the Super 12s.

The first match of the tournament will be played between Oman and Papua New Guinea on 17 October. Both the teams have been placed in Group B of the first round along with Bangladesh and Scotland who will face off in the evening match on the same day.

Sri Lanka, Ireland, Namibia, and the Netherlands have been placed in Group A and they will be seen in action on the very next day in Abu Dhabi. The top two teams from each group at the end of the round will qualify for the Super 12s of the tournament.

The Super 12s will commence on 23 October in Abu Dhabi with Australia taking on South Africa in a day match. The second match of the day will be played between England and West Indies in Dubai. These four teams, along with two qualifiers (A1 and B2) have been placed in Group 1.

Arch-rivals, Pakistan, and India will go head to head in a high-octane encounter on 24 October in Dubai to kickstart Group 2’s proceedings. Their match will be followed up by Afghanistan taking on one of the qualifying teams. Pakistan’s next fixture will be against New Zealand on 26 October in Sharjah as the former champions start off their tournament with two difficult fixtures.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament, scheduled to commence on 10 November in Abu Dhabi. The final of the tournament will be played on 14 November in Dubai.
