Eid-ul-Fitr being celebrated with religious zeal, fervor

Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated with religious zeal and fervor across the country today.

Eid congregations were being held at open places, mosques and Eidgahs in all major cities and towns.

The Ulema in their sermons are highlighted the significance and philosophy of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In the Federal capital, the main Eid congregation was held at the Faisal Mosque where top government officials and envoys of Muslim countries offered Eid prayers. 

Special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

President Arif Alvi offered his Eid prayer at Faisal Mosque in Islamabad and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the country. 

The President especially prayed for the salvation of the people of Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian suppression and atrocities.

Later, the President mixed up with the people and exchanged Eid greetings.

People belonging to different walks of life including diplomats of various countries visited Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad today and exchanged E greetings with President Arif Alvi and First Lady Samina Alvi.

Punjab

In the Provincial Capital Lahore, the day dawned with special prayers at mosques after Fajr, for solidarity and prosperity of country and nation and unity of Ummah.

A large number of Eid congregations were held at mosques and imam bargahs besides open places in all parts of the Lahore city. The largest Eid congregation was held at historical Badshahi Mosque where Punjab Governor Muhammad Baleegh ur Rehman will offer Eid prayer along public.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered Eid prayer in Lahore as well.

Strict security measures are in place throughout the city to avoid any untoward incident.

People belonging to different walks of life including diplomats of various countries visited Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad today and exchanged eid greetings with President Arif Alvi and First Lady Samina Alvi.

Sindh

In Karachi, at least 4942 congregations of Eid prayers were held all over the city in mosques, eidgahs and imambargahs.

The main Eid congregation was held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah (old Polo Ground) while other large congregations of Eid prayers  held at Eidgah Nazimabad, Nishtar Park, T-Ground and Daar-ul-Uloom Karachi.

Meanwhile, Sindh Government has made stringent security arrangements to maintain law and order situation in the province.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Eid-ul-Fitr congregations were held at mosques, Eidgahs, parks and open places across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this morning.

In Peshawar, the main congregation was held at Eidgah Peshawar.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali and caretaker Chief Minister Muhammad Azam Khan offered Eid prayer at Governor House in Peshawar.

Special prayers were offered for security, peace and prosperity of the country, unity of Muslim Ummah and liberation of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.

The government has taken tight security measures to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the province on the occasion of Eid.

Balochistan

Like the rest of the country, Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in Balochistan with religious fervor and zeal today.

In Quetta, more than 200 Eid prayer’s congregations were held at open places, parks, Masajid, Imambargahs and EidGah while the main congregation was held at Eidgah Toghi Road Quetta.

Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar offered Eid prayer at Governor House in Quetta.

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo is also celebrating Eid in Quetta.

Gilgit Baltistan

Eid-ul-Fitr is also being celebrated in Gilgit Baltistan today with religious zeal and fervour.

In Gilgit, the main Eid congregations were held in Jamia Masjid Ahlesunnat, Imamia Mosque, Helipad ground Imami Eidgah Jutal.  

Special prayers were offered for solidarity, integrity and prosperity of the country and wellbeing of Muslim Ummah .
