Radio Pakistan Multan is celebrating its 53rd anniversary today. This station started its transmission on this day in 1970.
This institution revived the cultural traditions and civilization of South Punjab, introduced several famous singers and artists including Naheed Akhtar, Pathane Khan, Mansoor Malangi, Surayya Multanikar, Meena Lodhi, Naeem ul Hasan Babloo, Sohail Asghar, Mohsin Gillani, Zahid Salim and many other big names.
The station produced kalam of Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid RA and other Sufi poets in the form of Kafis. Recently, Radio Pakistan Multan has also started the use of social media platforms very well.
