Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his resolve that Pakistan will become an Islamic welfare state one day.

In a Facebook post, he said it was always a dream of our founding fathers to make it an Islamic welfare state where the law is upheld and everyone’s rights are protected by the state regardless of their caste or creed.

The Prime Minister also reaffirmed his determination to lift marginalized people out of poverty and mainstream them as our Prophet (PBUH) did in the world’s first welfare state-Riyasat-e-Madina.

He mentioned China which did this in lifting 700 million people out of poverty.
