The Prime Minister Imran Khan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman jointly presided over the inaugural meeting of Supreme Coordination Council in Islamabad tonight.
The council will ensure implementation of bilateral cooperation in important sectors.
The ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Defence Production, Finance, Energy, Petroleum, Water Resources and Information of both countries are included as members of the council. Ministers for Cultural, Interior and Human Resources will also be the members of the council.
The Meeting of the council will be held in Riyadh and Islamabad respective every year.
Steering Committee and Joint Working Groups under the council have also been formed.
The establishment of council was proposed by the Saudi Crown Prince.
