More Thunder Showers Expected in Coming Days

According to the Met Office, weak monsoon currents are continuously penetrating in upper/central parts of the country and are likely to intensify from 28th July. A westerly wave is likely to approach on 29th July.

Under the influence of these meteorological conditions:

Kashmir/ Gilgit-Baltistan

Rain-wind/thundershower with isolated heavyfalls is expected in Kashmir (Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur) from 27th to 31st July, while rain-wind/thundershower with isolated heavyfalls is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar) from 27th to 31st July with occasional gaps.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa

Rain-wind/thundershower with isolated heavyfalls is expected in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai Kurram, Kohat, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan from 28th to 31st July with occasional gaps.

Punjab/Islamabad

Rain-wind/thundershower with scattered heavyfalls is expected in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Kasur and Okara from 28th to 31st July, with occasional gaps.

Rain-wind/thundershower is also likely in D.G. Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanewal, Pakpattan, Vehari, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan and Kot Addu from 29th to 31st July with occasional gaps.

Balochistan

Rain-wind/thundershower (with isolated heavy fall) is expected in Northeastern/southern parts (Barkhan, Musakhel, Loralai, Sibbi, Harnai, Dera Bugti, Kohlu, Lasbella, Awaran, Khuzdar, Quetta, Zhob, Qilla Saifullah, Qilla Abdullah, Ziarat, Kalat and Sherani) from 29th (night) to 31st July.

Sindh

Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the province. However, rain-wind/thundershower is expected in Tharparker, Umer Kot, Mirpur Khas, Mithi, Khairpur, Dadu, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Sanghar, Sukkur, Ghotki and Larkana on 30th-31st July, with occasional gaps.
