ABU DHABI: Lahore Qalandars booked their passage to the final of the inaugural Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy after an emphatic victory over Hobart Hurricanes by 35 runs at the Zayed Cricket stadium on Friday.
The Pakistan franchise side posted 181-5 after winning the toss and choosing to bat with Mohammad Faizan top scoring with 59.
They then restricted their Australian counterparts to 146-8 in reply to secure a comfortable success.
Qalandars had earlier won their opening game in Group A against Yorkshire Vikings by six wickets and they will now face the winners of Group B in the final on Saturday at 8pm.
Yorkshire and Hobart will play on Saturday morning at 11am in a game that decides who finishes second in the group.
Friday’s second game between Boost Defenders and Titans starts at 7pm and if the Defenders win they will reach the final to face Lahore.
